Hello All,
Yes, the devlogs did skip a version, that one was the iteration submitted right before the end of the gamejam, and it was mostly minor fixes. I will be continuing on working on this game for a bit, it's interesting to work on. And now for:
Here's What's New:
Dash visual effect; it shows when the player is using their ram attack (note: the player is invulnerable to enemy damage whilst using the ram attack, so this does help show when you can or can't take damage)
Game Loop: It has a title screen and an ending screen (apparently the game starts on the level and not the title screen, that'll get fixed soon)
Redesigned the UI
Enemies pause when you open the shop menu. I was planning out this whole system with bools and connections between scripts, and then I was shown a solution that required like two lines of code.
What's Next:
Figure out how the trail renderer works (?)
Add in more upgrades
Mess around with the enemies' scaling and potentially make them stronger or more numerous as time passes
