5/30/2025 Devlog 0.5


Hello All,

We've reached the end of this project. It was very fun to learn and work on, and I learned some new mechanics I can work on in future games, but unless something goes severely wrong with it, this will be the last update for the game. This has been an interesting concept. At the start of working on it, I had no idea what I was going to do, and was suggested to learn how to make a resource gathering/shop mechanic. I took that and combined it with the "Tiny World" theme of the gamejam this was originally made for, and that's how we got terraforming. I wasn't originally intending on making it an asteroids-like, but that's where we ended up.

And now, for the last time for this project,

Here's What's New:

  • Cover Image!
  • Amount of enemies increase as time passes, and they slowly gain more health
  • There's a heal button! spend five rock to restore 1HP. Works slower than upgrading your health, but when the cost increases to that upgrade start stacking up, this will be a good way to repair the damage.
  • Fixed enemies. In a previous project, I had to deal with an issue where enemies would hit the player repeatedly when they should only do it once, and I've added in a few. I don't know if it came up at all in previous iterations, but that shouldn't end up happening anymore
